Description
Theme: “A Feast for the Senses”

There was a tremendous response to the 2010 Boston Flower and Garden Show after the absence of a major flower show in Boston last year. An unofficial count of those attending is between 70 -75,000 with people coming from all over the Northeast and further to attend.

A total of sixteen arrangements representing three schools of Ikebana: Ikenobo, Ohara and Sogetsu were presented by I.I. members in the 2 entry days. In addition, the Sogetsu school members, Dora Lee, Mabel Nevins and Tomoko Tanaka created a freestanding floor arrangement. Kaye Vosburgh, with the assistance of Gil Moore and Jean Mangiafico created a freestanding arrangement in a Japanese flower cart at the entrance to the Ikebana display.

A total of 24 members served as docents during the show, answering questions about Ikebana and distributing information about our chapter and about our next show at Tower Hill Botanic Garden in Boylston, April 16, 17, 18, 2010.
