The second show presented by members of Ikebana International at Tower Hill, April 16, 17, 18 was enthusiastically received by members of I.I., members of Tower Hill and the general public; offering the promise of spring during a rainy weekend.
It was a beautiful show presented by four schools of Ikebana: Ikenobo, Ohara, Sogetsu and Ichio. There were 5 demonstrations over the course of the three days by teachers of the Ikenobo School, the Ohara School and the Sogetsu School. Arrangements from the demonstrations were added to those done by members of the four schools, so that by Sunday afternoon, Tower hill was bursting with beautiful arrangements.
Adding to the excitement, four potters from across New England showed their work, many of which were suitable for Ikebana.
Tower Hill Botanic Garden is an especially appropriate venue for an Ikebana show and we look forward to fall of 2011!
