Talk on Large Free Style Arrangements by Tom Maney

On October 28 an Ohara School presentation was given by Chapter members Russell Bowers (3rd Term Master Instructor) and Tom Maney (Instructor).

Russell created five arrangements: a Morimono using pumpkins, orchid and grapevine wood; a Free Style using deer antlers, birch branches, green dianthus, proteas and Billy balls; a Hana Kanade using pampas grass and mums; a landscape Moribana using driftwood, liquid amber, Japanese holly and leatherleaf fern; and a Rimpa using different color cremon chrysanthemums, spray chrysanthemums and leatherleaf fern.

Tom Maney did a brief introduction of the concept of the Japanese Zen garden and how that led to the concept for the Ohara installation at the 2020 Boston Flower Show.
