Ikenobo is considered the origin of ikebana and at 600+ years it is the oldest school still in existence today. The Ikenobo Ikebana Society of Boston was founded in 1966 to promote and disseminate the art of ikebana locally. The society holds monthly workshops September through June and participates in other ikebana related activities.
